POSITION SUMMARY:
This position oversees the daily administrative operations and business office functions at Camp Erdman. Responsibilities include supporting the Executive Director, acting as a liaison with the Metro office for Payroll, IT, and HR, and providing exceptional customer service to guests, staff, and board members. Key tasks involve managing registration, bookings, contracts, payments, reports, fundraising, and vendor relations. The role also handles new hire onboarding, HR administration, payroll, and oversees the camp's retail store.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / FUNCTIONS:
- Customer Relations:
- Greet and assist guests, handle phone/email inquiries, and provide program info.
- Manage social media, marketing calendars, registration, and contracts.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise administrative staff.
- Support program handoffs and assist with operational challenges.
- Human Resources:
- Work HR for recruitment and job postings, conduct orientations, payroll, and staff retention efforts.
- Conduct HR-related services and provide training/development schedules.
- Administration:
- Handle clerical tasks, accounts payable/receivable, daily cash reports, and vendor relations.
- Manage office supplies, enrollment reports, and administrative paperwork.
- Camp Store & Events:
- Oversee store operations, payments, and inventory.
- Organize and manage the Annual Community Day.
- Support fundraising activities and perform other duties as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in YMCA camp administration or 2 years of office/clerical experience required.
- 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to obtain CPR/AED, Oxygen, and First Aid certification.
- TB clearance required.
