VOLUNTEER POSITION SUMMARY:
The Volunteer Group Fitness Assistant supports the Kaimukī-Waiʻalae YMCA staff and instructors by helping prepare, clean, and reset studio spaces for a variety of group exercise classes. This position plays a key role in ensuring group exercise classes run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
We are seeking a volunteer group fitness assistant who is available Tuesday and Thursday from 8am - 12:00pm.

We are seeking a volunteer group fitness assistant who is available Tuesday and Thursday from 8am - 12:00pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with setting up equipment prior to group fitness classes (e.g., mats, weights, steps, bikes, or other class-specific items)
- Clean and sanitize equipment before and after classes in accordance with YMCA standards
- Help return equipment to proper storage areas after use
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment in fitness areas
- Support instructors and staff as needed during busy class transitions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Comfortable interacting with members of all ages and fitness levels
- Ability to lift and carry light to moderate equipment (e.g., weights, mats, steps)
