$18.50 Hourly


POSITION SUMMARY:

Join our team at the Central YMCA in Honolulu and help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff and guests! As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities. Your work will ensure that all guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay, in line with the YMCA’s commitment to hospitality and community service. This position is under the supervision of the Executive Director and Facilities Director.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
 

As a Housekeeper, you’ll play a key role in making sure our guests and staff feel at home by keeping our rooms and common areas clean and inviting. Your tasks may include:
  • Making beds and changing sheets & towels
  • Emptying wastebaskets and dusting furniture
  • Sweeping and mopping rooms to keep them fresh
  • Cleaning bathrooms and water fountains
  • Being aware of new check-ins and check-outs
  • Laundering sheets, bedspreads, and towels on a scheduled basis
  • Waxing floors and cleaning walls (monthly)
  • When necessary, packing rooms and putting items in storage (with proper tagging for identification)
  • Reporting any unusual or suspicious activity to ensure a safe environment
  • Collaborating with the front desk for lock-outs, key blocks, and other guest needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • TB clearance

Skills & Knowledge:
  • At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping, custodial work, or a similar role preferred

Education & Training:
  • CPR/AED, First Aid required
  • High School diploma or equivalent
